Every year brings a new edition of SOLIDWORKS to the Dassault Systems 3D experiance and soon we will see the release of SOLIDWORKS 2014 and we hope to see you all at our Solid Solutions Launch events. You may have already heard about some new functionality already fresh from SOLIDWORKS World 2013 back in January. However before you get your hands on this new edition as part of your active subscription SOLIDWORKS have to release this in a BETA testing program. This is a great oppertunity for users to try out the new functionality and give feedback before SP0 is released.
Users are rewarded for their participation in Beta phase testing with
opertunities to win prizes from testing Core SOLIDWORKS through to PV360 Rendering, Simulation, Enterprise and Composer products. Typically users who submit Service Requests (SR's) regarding problems, glitches etc gain points and to quote old TV shows 'What do points make... points make prizes' in the form of Amazon Gift Cards.
Now this won't be for everyone but 2014 BETA is exciting news for any user. Moreover for those already enjoying SOLIDWORKS 2013 SP3 you'll soon have Service Pack 4 being released. We strongly advise customers to keep a full disc download of Service Packs as a back up.
