Consumer Product Design Part 1

The main aim of this webcast is to show how SOLIDWORKS tools can aid the Product Design Process from initial design through to final implementation.

Creation of quality concepts has never been easier with the masses of CAD tools available and the SOLIDWORKS suite contains everything needed to stay ahead of the game.

Using simple surface modelling methods to produce organic shapes and strong design intent for the inevitable updates, we can effortlessly make key design changes.

Throughout the course of this 20 minute webcast we will look at;

  • -          How to use “Sketch Pictures”
  • -          Fit Spline
  • -          Extrude and Trim Surfaces
  • -          Lofted Surfaces with guide edges
  • -          Filled Surface with edge based curvature control
  • -          Split Surface
  • -          Intersection Curves
  • -          Sweep Surfaces
  • -          Variable Fillet

This webcast is suitable for those who have recently completed, or are due to complete, the SOLIDWORKS Advanced Part or Surfacing training.
