EnterprisePDM | Show Drawings in Contains Tab

Monday August 8, 2011 at 11:05am

I had a call on the helpdesk the other day from a Customer wanting to know if he could check the status on a current project with respect to the creation and release of Drawings so I pointed him towards this tip.

If you select a managed Assembly in Windows Explorer and look at the 'Contains' Tab then you can see a list of all the Parts and Sub-Assemblies that make it up, but not the drawings.

Contains Information

If you however, toggle the option "Show / Hide Configurations"....

Show / Hide Configurations

...then all the Drawings can be displayed.

Contains with Drawings

Contains Detail

By viewing the 'State' Column the User / Manager can instantly see that a drawing has

a) been created and
b) see it's current Workflow State.
